Tour Itinerary

  • Day 0

    Arrival in Arusha

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, Summit Trekking And Safaris' team will warmly welcome you and facilitate your transfer to your hotel either in Arusha or Arusha town. Here, you'll have the pleasure of meeting your safari guide, who will provide you with essential information about the upcoming safari adventure. Your guide will brief you comprehensively, ensuring you're well-prepared for the journey ahead.

  • Day 1

    Arusha – Tarangire National Park

In the morning, after picking you up and a short briefing about the safari, you will head southwest to Tarangire National Park, the sixth largest park in Tanzania. The park's semi-arid yet diverse landscape features acacia woodlands, giant baobab trees, and rolling plains, attracting large herds of elephants and other animals to gather around the perennial source, the Tarangire River, and other seasonal swamps.
Renowned for its dense wildlife, the park offers sightings of predators like lions, leopards, hyenas, cheetahs, and the rare wild dogs, along with various bird species and other animals. After an extensive game drive, you will leave the park and travel to a nearby campsite for an overnight stay in tents.

  • Day 2

Tarangire National Park – Lake Natron

After breakfast, you will depart from Tarangire National Park and drive to the multicultural village of Mto Wa Mbu. Following some time exploring the village's diverse ethnic culture, you will embark on a bumpy ride along the spectacular trails of the Rift Valley Escarpment, with views of Ol Doinyo Lengai, the "holy mountain" of the Masai.
Your destination is the typical Masai village of Ngare Sero, situated near the hot and dusty Rift Valley. You may catch a glimpse of the stunning pink glow of flamingos breeding and feeding on the alkaline waters of Lake Natron (seasonal). After a guided walk to a nearby waterfall, you will return to the campsite for dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day 3

Lake Natron - Serengeti National Park

Setting off early, you will travel along unpaved dirt trails, enjoying stunning landscapes as you head from the Rift Valley to the Serengeti plains by midday. The Serengeti, meaning "endless plains" in Maasai, is home to vast populations of mammals and hosts the natural spectacle of the annual wildebeest migration. You will stay overnight at a campsite in the northern or central part of the park.

  • Day 4

    Serengeti National Park

Today is dedicated to full-day or morning and afternoon game drives in the Seronera area of the Serengeti National Park, known for its dense vegetation and diverse wildlife. Overnight stay will be at a campsite in the Seronera area.

  • Day 5

Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Conservation Area

In the morning, you will enjoy game drives in the Serengeti, followed by lunch. Afterward, you will depart for the lush highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will camp at the edge of Ngorongoro Crater, enjoying panoramic views at sunset.
